DNA Cycling apparel - Comfortable, stylish, and hand-made in Italy

Updated: Feb 17, 2020

I've used a lot of cycling clothes through the years and I always seem to reach for my DNA Cycling clothes when comfort and performance REALLY matters. As most of you know, cycling clothes are meant to "fit", as in no seams or awkward rubbing or chafing. Many brands try, but few (in my opinion) really achieve the goal of blending performance with comfort. I've had a chance to try out most of their winter and summer collections and have been impressed. Their "Body Mapping" techniques really do seem to put the right kind of material and compression in the right places, making the kit feel like it's painted on (yes, that's a good thing!). No uncomfortable seams or zippers in the wrong place. I haven't met a DNA Chamois that I didn't like and they're my go-to for any multi-hour endurance race. One of my favorite pieces though, is the long sleeve thermal jersey - so warm yet breathable that I find myself wearing this any time the temperature dips below 65-70 degrees (or sometimes warmer if I dare admit....I get cold easily!). Overall the fit and comfort of their kits is top notch and their design and colors are really eye catching. They don't seem as pricey as Assos or Rapha, but still not cheap, and because of the delicate and specialized nature of the materials that they use, you do need to wash them delicately. Some of my shorts have worn thin and faded around the hips, but this has been after many, many washings. They offer custom apparel for clubs/teams but you can also purchase direct on their website. Happy trails!

My favorite long sleeve thermal jersey (and stretchy enough to fit pads underneath!)
